GSE Collision Awareness Module

The cost of repairing GSE can be significant - and with the associated loss of productivity and health and safety implications, gaining control of damages on the ramp is essential.

The v-AWARE module is an extension to our VTIS GSE management system, and provides a real-time alert whenever an impact is detected. Customers who install v-AWARE frequently report that their damage repair bills drop by at least 50%.

The system consists of a triple-axis impact sensor, which is mounted on the vehicle chassis. Suitable for all types of motorised GSE, the sensor can be set to trigger at 2 different thresholds - a "low-g" value and a "high-g" value dependent upon the type of GSE - when an impact exceeding either threshold is detected, the vehicle/fleet ID, date, time, location and speed are recorded and sent wirelessly to our data server centre. 		vtis GSE management system

GSE lock system If the GSE is also equipped with our v-LOCK system, the identity of the driver will also be included in the message. This alert message can be transmitted directly to the Fleet Manager, via an SMS/text message or as an email. Alternatively, if you are using our v-TRACK mapping system, the alert message can appear as a flag on the map showing the location of the over-speed event and other key data.

If you don't need real-time notification of collision events, all data can be stored and sent to you regularly in the form of an Excel spreadsheet or alternatively can be viewed on-line via our v-DASH or v-VIEW reporting systems. v-aware reporting systems
