With fuel costs increasing, ensuring your GSE fleet is operating efficiently, and that fuel usage is controlled, is essential. If you know how much fuel is in your GSE at any one time, you can improve your refueling strategy and reduce costs, increase equipment availability and even identify less fuel-efficient vehicles, which can either be upgraded or removed from your fleet.

Providing your equipment has an existing fuel gauge with a suitable analogue or digital output, v-FUEL will regularly measure how much fuel is left in the tank and transmit this data wirelessly, via our v-HUB telematics unit fitted on the vehicle, to our servers. From here, the data is formatted and made available to customers.
Historical and real-time vehicle fuel levels can be viewed on-line via our v-VIEW or v-DASH reporting systems, or a daily summary can be sent to you via our v-MAIL service as an Excel spreadsheet. If you need instant alerts (for example, if a fuel level drops below 25%), these can be sent to designated staff in your operation, by SMS message or email. v-FUEL is easy to install, involving a small amount of hardware in addition to the v-HUB telematics unit. Once fitted, the system is calibrated to the specific equipment fuel gauge. All vehicle data is hosted on our servers and is protected, secure and available 24/7. |
