v-LOCK is an add-on module compatible with our VTIS product family, and provides
GSE Operators, Maintainers and Fleet and Ramp Managers with the ability to control
who is authorised to drive specific vehicles on the ramp. Using our web-based "ACMA"
software application, equipment administrators can easily update the list of authorised
users of their GSE to reflect new starters, leavers and additional/seasonal ground staff.
At regular intervals, this data is automatically transmitted wirelessly across the fleet ensuring that only authorised users can operate your equipment. v-LOCK works with many different identification methods, including airport passes, smart cards, electronic keys or biometric devices - both hardware and software can be adapted to meet your specific requirements.
On the Apron, users present their identification device to the v-LOCK reader mounted on the vehicle. If they present a valid ID, the vehicle will start - if not, vehicle starting will be disabled. In either case, v-LOCK records the access attempt and sends this data over the wireless network to our data hub - this data can be viewed via our v-DASH or v-VIEW reporting systems, or provided as a daily or weekly email report.
