v-TRACK lets you visualise the location of your GSE across the airport, providing a
powerful tool that can be used for making operational decisions and providing a
snapshot of GSE status. v-TRACK uses Global Positioning System (GPS) satellite
technology to continuously monitor equipment location. GPS coordinates are sent
wirelessly from the GSE to our data hub regularly, and displayed on a detailed airport
map, showing stand and gate identifiers. In addition to location, clear indication of
equipment status (engine on, engine off, idling, out of service etc.) enables the
dispatcher to select the right GSE for the next task based on real-time information.
The user can view the big picture on a graphical display and then drill down by GSE type or to
an individual vehicle to access detailed information about status and history. Map data is
updated whenever there is a change in status on the GSE, in near real-time. Should there
be a need to review historical data, a trail of locations can be displayed if required. As with all
products in the VTIS family, data can be linked into existing customer systems, such as
maintenance and resource deployment software, to allow comprehensive
management of each piece of GSE and associated ramp handling tasks.
